Background
Phil joined Garofalo, Schreiber, Storm & Grant, Chtd. in 1988 and became a shareholder of the firm in 1999 and heads the firm’s Civil Litigation department. Mr. Brinckerhoff’s practice concentrates in protecting employers in a civil litigation context and handling subrogation matters. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University and his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University. He handles cases in state and federal courts. He has been frequently involved in handling catastrophic and complex injury cases. He has maintained an “A” rating (Very High to Preeminent) in legal ability “V” (Very High) in general ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell™ for over 20 years.
Contributions
Phil has been a frequent lecturer to trade, industry and insurance groups on topics of employers’ liability, construction liability, and subrogation. He has participated in training sessions for insurance carriers and their staffs. He has also contributed to articles in professional journals including the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel’s Quarterly Journal.
